Bibliography: "Earthenware witnesses of the history of France" editions Varia, Paris, March 1987 Decors Balloon. The decor "balloon" appears around 1784 and celebrates the discovery of the hydrogen balloon. We can identify the ascent of the inventor Robert and the physicist Charles above the Tuileries Garden of December 1, 1783, as well as the tests of the engineer Blanchard, who garnished his nacelles of oars for the direction. These sets are often accompanied by inscription: "Bon voyage", "Adieu" and more rarely a date. This very popular set was released for a short time.
